GTNet ® Overview
The Global Traceability Network (GTNet®) is a specialized subscription based service enabling companies to establish electronic traceability, both in their internal chain as well as with trading partners upstream and downstream.
But the GTNet is more than «just» a traceability system. It is is a sophisticated information infrastructure which lets you exchange product related data with your trading partners. With GTNet, you don't need expensive and specialized B2B solutions to do this.
The TT Navigator (see screendump) is a web application included in the GTNet services. It is used for quering and browsing data in GTNet, and for uploading data from the internal enterprise.
But you don't need this application to perform these tasks. GTNet provides several easy-to-use mechanisms which lets external applications to connect to the network. These mechanisms are all layered on top of state-of-the-art middleware and protocols, which guarantees maximum openness and connectivity.
By nature businesses differ in their need for traceability. To serve these different needs TraceTracker has developed different solutions with varying traceability models and data element sets. These solutions exploit a framework for modelling value chains that is generic, i.e., the framework is applicable to any type of value chain, from automobile assembly to food production.
