Full roll-out at Grunnarbeid

- TraceTracker, a leading actor within asset tracking, has entered into a contract with Grunnarbeid AS for the delivery of a tracking solution called TraceTracker Asset.

The scope of the implementation covers tracking of all relevant equipment, across all projects, all equipment containers, as well as vehicles and trailers that deliver equipment to the project sites.
TraceTracker Asset is a web-based system that ensures good utilization of all types of tools, equipment and vehicles. It tracks equipment movements automatically in near real-time with an innovative combination of RFID, GPS and mobile technology. A user-friendly interface with maps and reports shows which equipment pieces are available or need repairs, as well as where individual equipment pieces are located, and where they have been.
A solution for a limited number of equipment pieces was implemented for Grunnarbeid in March this year, with the goal of ensuring that the “right equipment, is at the right place at the right time.” The results from this initial phase were so successful that Grunnarbeid has decided to begin a full roll-out to the entire organization. Grunnarbeid found that TraceTracker Asset is reliable and users are able to find available equipment faster than before. It is also easy to integrate data from various sources and RFID readers.

TraceTracker Asset makes use of a data capture solution, Online Container from HRAFN and a data collection service, Shepherd, from Telenor Objects.
