The conference called, “SMART Asset Tracking” will cover a wide range of methods, tools and systems for determining where physical assets are located when they are needed most.

TraceTracker Asset is a web-based system for maximizing the utilization of tools, equipment and vehicles for large scale projects and operations. This solution tracks equipment movement in near real-time, shows which units are available and ensures that "the right equipment is at the right place at the right time".

“GS1 SmartCentre is the meeting place and  knowledge center for effective trade and logistics. The center, which opened in 2010 has already attracted over 1000 visitors. It includes a massive showroom as well as classrooms and meeting rooms where visitors can experience the value chain live. A well-equipped test center is an area for demonstrations of new and existing solutions,” says Anders Askevold, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, at GS1 Norway.

After the “SMART Asset tracking” conference is over, TraceTracker Asset will be showcased at the SMARTCentre on an ongoing basis.
